The Four Paths

The four paths is a concept that defines four distinct routes that a person could take to reach an immortal or godlike status.

Path 1: The Domain Path
Path 2: Technique Cultivation
Path 3: ???
Path 4: Reality Shaping

Realms

Each pathway has distinct boundaries that mark key milestones of progress, often revealing new paradigms that will strongly shape your understanding of the universe. These partitions along the pathways are known as Realms.

A general rule of thumb goes as follows: A person following a specific pathway will be able to defeat large numbers of people who are below them realm-wise, as long as they also follow the same pathway.

Realm numbers do not necessarily align between paths.

The distance between realms gets larger and larger the further you go. Because of this, realms tend to be broken down into subrealms, this gives clearer insight into the strength and progress a person has.

Reaching the end of a realm is often considered a barrier. In order to move past it, you most gain understanding or control of the features of the next realm, bringing you into it as the result. These are called breakthroughs.

Subrealms can also require mini breakthroughs, however some are passive to transition past.

Domain Abilities

The primary magic system found within Rathadel.

Known by those living on Boralidin as “Corruption” or “Domain Corruptions”.

Their are 8 types of domain abilities. The type of a domain users ability will effect the abilities traits and the required type of domain energy it requires to grow.

Emitter	Emitters are able to form and emit a variety of different substances. A classic example would be someone able to emit a fireball, or someone able to bend water.	40% Chance	???
Enhancer	Enhancers are able to enhance an attribute they possess beyond normal human limits. An example would be to temporarily enhancer their stamina to get an unhuman burst of speed.	15% Chance	???
Influencer	Influencers are able to use their abilities to manipulate the minds of others in some way. An example would be the ability to read the surface thoughts of those they can see.	13% Chance	???
Mutant	Mutants have a permanent (normally body based) feature once they have corrupted which they can utilise in some way. An example would be a mutant will gills being able to breath underwater.	12% Chance	???
Manipulator	Manipulators are able to use their abilities to influence and manipulate other people’s domain abilities.	10% Chance	???
Artificer	Artificers are able to use their abilities to influence objects, usually aided by or reliant on their domain focus. An example would be to summon a forging hammer that provided major bonus to crafting.	5% Chance	???
Spatial	Spatials are able to use their abilities to manipulate and warp aspects of space in a variety of ways. An example would be the ability to blink teleport.	3% Chance	???
Chronomancer	Chronomancers are able to use their abilities to manipulate and warp aspects of time in a variety of ways. An example would be the ability to send messages back to your past self so your current self can be alerted of future attacks.	2% Chance	???
