The City of Whitewood is one of the First Continent's 10 well established surface cities.
Although much smaller than the other cities, Whitewood is the only that has managed to survive within the The Ashen Groves, making it one of the most well protected cities from its neighbours while simultaneously making it one of the most dangerous cities to live in.

Geography
The Geography of Whitewood is incredibly unique. It is sat at the heart of the ashen groves, the only location on korodel that still retains natural plant life. The city is surrounded by stark white/silver aspen like trees that tower above any of the city houses, shrouding the view of the mountains that surround the region. The ground is littered with a variety of grasses and ferns, often buried below light blankets of snow. Unlike the rest of the weather on the continent, it doesn't rain. The temperature is too cold and so the rain turns to show before settling.
Population
The general populous of Whitewood is a odd one in comparison to the other cities. It is a patchwork of different people from all different walks of life, many of which choose to remain unknown. Originally Whitewood was a place to hide, a place to re-start when you had no where else to go. Criminals and fugitives, runaways and killer, people who had been wronged by the previous lives, all flocked to the hidden city as a place of safety. Those who managed to reach the city settled down there, some of whom started families.
The people of Whitewood are a hardy group, stubborn and not easily swayed. Many keep to their own or stay in small pockets of social circles and seldom stepping out of them. Those born in Whitewood are accustom to cold weather and fare in it much better than your normal person. In the current day most of the population of Whitewood stems from the original individuals who first fled Hollowpoint, with most members of the city being a few generations born there. There is no doubt a few new people still reside in the city to hide, but with the current housing issue in Whitewood, there is less and less space to welcome new arrivals.
Noteworthy Individuals
The Guard has three main positions of power in the form of lieutenants that run it. Alben Cornwell, Arnold Dundlach, and Liana Kumara.
Externally from the guard, some people of note include, Bentley Dunlop, the city's stable master. He owns the city's stable and most of the silver backs he cares for.
Veronica Reader, is the flecher of the city, one of few store owners Whitewood has.
The Inner Council
The inner council is a small selection of individuals of significant import within the city. They help with important decisions and run the essential needs of the city. The council is as of right now, an unofficial group that the current commissioner hopes to eventually turn into The Pillar of Elders, should his new constitution be put into place. The council includes:
- Emilio Reyner, The current commissioner of Whitewood.
- Alben Cornwell, The head of the guard and an incredibly reliable figure head within the city. He is dedicated to his work and an intensely dutiful man.
- Kieran Reyner, The prior commissioner of Whitewood, currently sat on the council as an elder.
- Patrick Atwater, The forge master of Whitewood, head of running the city's legendary forge and an incredibly skilled blacksmith.
- Wen, The newest elected member of the council, previously an unofficial member of the council wen is the city's head caster. The choice to put a caster in a position of power within the city, directly opposes the ideals preached by Hollowpoint.
- Edward Flynn, The city's cast seller, in charge of most metal sales and a talented inventor.
- Mrs Dixon, The head of Knowledge and keeper of the archive within the city, knowledgeable on the past.
- Mr Barrow, Owns the city's only Vis shop, occasionally helps teach chemistry at the school.
- Maisy Shields, The city healer and one of the newest members of the council, she is in charge of the general health of the citizens.
- Raphaielle Christie, Head of education within the city, he runs the only school in Whitewood.
