Basic Construction

Once per long rest you can create and enter a blank construct. The construct reaches out infinitely to your left and right as well as above. Below you, the ground is made of a solid black substance. Although there is no obvious light source, everything is well lit.

In order to leave you must spend one action without being interrupted before vanishing on the next turn.

You can bring one other person into your construct (Total capacity of 2), where you can interact with them. They can leave if you allow them to via the same method as you. If you wish for them to stay, they must break your construct DC (Int mod + Con mod + 10) creating a hole and shattering the construct, causing both you and the opponent to exit the construct.

If you kill an opponent within the construct, the connection to their mind isn’t strong enough to kill them externally, but it is strong enough to knock them prone and apply the confusion (cannot target specific body part but can still hit you) condition for 1d4 turns. If the creator of the construct dies within the construct, then after 3 turns, the construct collapses.

If your construct is shattered by someone other than you, you get knocked prone and confused.

If the construct collapses with you inside, you are knocked prone and confused.

Casters inside a construct have a seemingly no material cost within the construct and can tell they are inside a construct. In order to cast they must beat the construct dc. Vis is still required.

Time runs parallel to the outside world and all of your equipment is brought into the construct.
If you are hit while inside the construct, you disappear from the construct and wake up confused. While inside the construct you cannot sense anything outside the construct.

While in a construct, your body will remain in a similar form, and will try to stay steady, but is technically incapacitated, blind and deafened (although this is only the case outside the construct)

New initiative is imbedded where the creator of the construct was in the initiative, after the construct ends initiative resumes as normal.

Achromatic Space

Your constructs can now contain more diversely coloured terrain, instead of just black terrain you now have access to shades of grey and white alongside the black. This can be used when making the construct, you may state what colour the sky is, and what colour the terrain is.

Memorable Location

You can choose one memorable location to save, and later use. To do this pick a place you often visit and meditate in the exact same spot for a week. After meditating, when making your construct you can specify that you are starting in your memorable location, doing so creates a version of the space in the construct. The memorable space isn’t perfect and only extends for 50ft away from the origin in a spherical shape. Anything moving is now frozen. (waterfalls etc.)

At level 4 you can store a second memorable location.

Increased Connection

You increase your connection with your target significantly. If they die, or if they are left in the collapsing construct and can’t escape in time, they will take 3D5 mental damage as well as the previously mentioned conditions in Basic construction.

You can also attempt to skim a thought from their consciousness by rolling an arcana + wisdom throw vs their constitution modifier + their level. If they fail, you hear a surface thought. Otherwise nothing happens. This skimming action takes 1 action to perform.

At level 3 the damage taken when a target dies or fails to escape increases to 5D5. At level 5 the damage taken when a target dies or fails to escape increases to 6D6.

Steady Grounds

You strengthen your will and after some practise you are confident that your constructs can support additional minds within it at a time. Your construct capacity increases from 2 to 3.

At level 4 this limit increased again from 3 to 4.

Monochromatic Space

When specifying that your space is monochromatic, instead of black terrain you are able to colour your construct in the shade of one specified colour. You may state what colour the sky is and what colour the terrain is.

Inner Fortification

You begin to wonder where a construct is located and conclude that this must be a space within your own mind. You then quickly realise that perhaps bringing strong entities into your own mind without fortification might be a mistake. After some careful thought you derive a method to strengthen the constraints on your construct. your construct DC is calculated as follows: Int mod + Con mod + 15.

Triadic Space

When specifying that your space is triadic, instead of black terrain you are able to colour your construct in the shade of three specified colours. You may state the colours of the terrain and sky.

Refined Access

After more research into the location of your construct you at last find a better way for you and others to access it. Now you can bring others into the construct by touching them anywhere.

You are also able to bring yourself into your own construct without the need for a second mind.

Chromatic Space

When specifying that your space is triadic, instead of black terrain you are able to colour your construct in the many specified colours. You may state the colours of the terrain and sky.

Encephalic Awakening

After spending countless hours delving further into your own mind you discover strange anomalies deep in your consciousness. Using your constructs, you are able to manifest and correct them. Your mind, now seemingly clearer than ever, feels wonderful. You wonder what caused the anomalies and what else you might find if you where to look hard enough.
You gain +5 to Insight. You gain +6 to both Intelligence and Wisdom scores. You are able to enter a construct twice per long rest.

New Thoughts

With your mind no longer shackled, new ideas seemingly pour from somewhere distant. Perhaps if you were to study these thoughts your constructs could grow stronger.

You may choose one, and only one avenue to study from the list below:

Construct: World Builder You follow a stream of thoughts that lead you towards mastering the simulation of life in your constructs.

Construct: Mind Thief You follow a stream of thoughts that lead you towards mastering the extraction of thoughts from others.

Construct: Mental Partitioner You follow a stream of thoughts that lead you towards mastering persistence between constructs.
