The Qi Gathering stage is when many cultivator consider a person to have actually began their journey for the True Dao.
This stage is when a cultivator will begin to explore and understand what Essence is and how to use it in simple cases
while collecting as much as they can.

Qi is recovered through rest (by being refined from Essence). For every hour of rest, 10Qi is recovered.

An important note is that when training in any stage of a technique that requires the Qi Gathering stage or above some
extra rules apply. When a comprehension roll is made (under the given conditions) then for every point that is to be added
to the understanding of the skill, 1Qi is to be expended. Alternatively, a second point gained from the comprehension
roll can be used as a substitute.

A cultivator has 2Qi and is training for a whole day (in Qi Gathering techniques). The first comprehension roll gave
4 points. So the 2Qi is used and 2 of the (comprehension) points are paired up giving a result that: 3pts are added
to the understanding of the technique.
The second roll gives 4 points. As there is no Qi left, the result is: 2pts are added to the understanding of the technique.
