Esoteric Infusions are one of the many lost arts within Deresh. While the resultants can be found dotted around in hidden locations, the ability to create them not longer exists in current times. This makes them very valued items among the surviving populous.

One of many lost Arts, Esoteric Infusions still to this day baffle most of the populous of Korodel. Even masters who are dedicated to the discovery and research of these intricate items have a very limited knowledge as to their true nature. As it currently stands the only way to obtain an Esoteric Infusion is by finding it within a ruin or purchasing it from a collector or auction house.

## Esoterics

Esoterics come in all forms of shapes, sizes, abilities and personalities. From a tiny compass all the way up to a full set of Plate Armour. Currently Esoterics come in three classifications; Offensive, Defensive and Unitily, with many having mixed aspects within. They were thought to have been created by the Ancient Ones during the war times to help fend off the invading forced of the old gods, they are theorized to use the souls of many within their creation, be it by sacrifice or other means, though the method to their creation still remains very much a mystery.

The sentience of a Esoteric usually dictates how potent it's personality it, they can range from communicating with their users through feelings of suggestion all the way up to full, intelligent conversations.

## Soul Bond & Soul Frey

Upon finding an Esoteric there is a small period of time where one must bond to it. This process usually takes a week during which time the esoteric cannot be un-summoned or communicated with. It is believed that this bond is what allows a Esoteric user to summon and un-summon their tool at will, the soul bond being what allows the item to always find its way back to the user.

## Sibling Esoterics

Commonly known as Twinned, though it is documented that Triplets can also exist, Sibling Esoterics are items that in some way have a connection to not only their users but each other. This connection is a majorly unexplored part of the art and almost nothing is known of how it functions. Twinned Esoterics are incredibly rare, thought to be due to the circumstances needed for their creation. 

It is proven that some Esoterics exist which can be used to track one esoteric through it's twin, though the results of this can vary.

| The Lilac Compass | Compass | Utility | A small palm sized golden compass with an interior of some kind of lilac, metallic glaze. It has an ornate arrow and a light amount of patterning around it's circumference where directions would usually be written. It can find people, so long as it's given a full name. It can find places, so long as it's user has seen them before. It can trace sentience in a small area around it, locating the closest creature. | Shade Thorne | Bow | Offence | A black osari bow, spikes and flecked with red thorn like protrusions. It is certaintly a esoteric built for combat as most it's abilities revolve around inflicting bleed stacks upon the target. It has a single ability that allows it's user to heal after having killed a bleeding target and another ability that infuses a shot with Vis, causing it to ignore AC. It personality is still to be determined as, despite being fully bonded, it is yet to speak. | [[korodel:characters:immery_garntale|]] | 
| Grimshaw | Sword | Offence | A deep red blade, spines on the edges and decorated with tooth like indents closer to the hilt. A carved eye sits at the center of the hilt, mostly closed. Despite it's intimidating appearance, it has a unique bundle of skills. Able to cut through stone with impossible ease, it is thought to have previously been used as a mining tool. It also comes with a collection of devestating combat abilities including a blink teleport that shows itself in the form of a cloud of blood mist, and an ability that consumes an opponent from the inside out. It is a very potent Esoteric has a fairly social personality, happily humming when presented with favorable activities and has been known to try and keep its user company whilst traveling alone. | [[korodel:characters:emilio_reyner|]], Thousand Eyes | 
| Prismatic Rend | Sword (koro) | Offence | An ornate, white Koro blade kept sat within a nested sheath. It has a pale grey-blue material that creeps up the side of the sheath in a pattern of flames. It emits a slight blue glow from the top of the sheath. As it's appearance may suggest it holds a series of flame based attacks that are incredibly destructive in nature. Prismatic Rend inflicts a Stygian flame that engulfs all those it hits, it can grant the user flight and a highly intimidating presence. The likelihood of survival against this esoteric is very low. Its nature also causes issues for the wielder of the blade, as any damage it inflicts on another it also deals a portion of to the wielder. It is incredibly sentient and seems to have a twisted sense of justice. It is known to maliciously coax it's user into unsheathing it, unleashing its true power however, lately it has fallen silent after the discovery of it being twinned.| [[korodel:characters:emilio_reyner|]], [[korodel:characters:kieran_reyner|]]|
| Ash Flay | Dagger | Offence | A curved, palm sized dagger that glows with a pale white energy. Ash flay sports a metallic, grey carved handle that winds into a point on the end. The blade is able to create light clones of itself, allowing the user to pull bade after blade out of the original esoteric. These light blades can be teleported to by the user and have no known duration. Ash flay is one of the less sentient esoteric found by the party and speaks through feelings of suggestion as opposed to words. | Thunder Stroke | Bow | Offence | A beautiful red and gold bow that usually has no string due to the majority of it's attacks being vis-based, Thunder Stroke is one of the few twinned esoteric the party knows of. The bow has not canonically been seen in action but it's capabilities have been said to center around clearing large groups of adversaries. It is a sentient esoteric capable of speech though it's personality was never mentioned within the campaign.  | [[korodel:characters:amy_goldheart|]] | 
| Heart String | Ukelele | Utility | A simple, red ukulele that is considered somewhat rare by esoteric standards. Heartsting is able to manipulate the emotions of targeted creatures within an area and has only been seen in action once within the campaign. It is unknown exactly how sentient the esoteric is but according to it's wielder it has a rather pleasant personality. | [[korodel:characters:amy_goldheart|]] | 
| Night Shot | Bow | Offence | A fully black bow who's tips extend into a set of dark, metallic feathered wings. The twin of thunderstroke, not much is known about this esoteric. It is also a Vis powered weapon and has been seen in action once, it can shift from a arrow of black energy to one of white supposedly becoming more deadly as it does so.
